Equipment and Infrastructures
Some constructions, probably dating from the 18th-19th centuries, can be found at Cacheu. The House Honório Barreto, with two floors and wooden veranda (most ruined at present),the House Gouveia and the Fruit Warehouse are worthy of mention, besides some colonial houses and Hotel Baluarte, inaugurated on 1988, on the occasion of the town’s celebration of its 400th anniversary, which included its gemination with Viana do Castelo (Portugal).
