Former English House
Housing
Built in the uptown, at the top of a hill with a scenic view over the sea, the house was conceived in a modernist and inventive design by Vasco Vieira da Costa, following Le Corbusier lines. It has a wide veranda with protective lattices, evoking these traditional elements of domestic construction. This house follows the modern subject first exploited by le Corbusier and later by his disciple Fernando Távora, of house-landscape, isolated over the cliffs and open to the sea.
