Military Architecture

A work from the 18th century (after 1782, along with the establishment of a settlement on that location), this was significantly rebuilt and altered later on. It is located near 7 de Março Square, and presently corresponds to a quadrangular structure in stone, fortified, serving as a museum and for leisure purposes. The interior holds the statue to Mouzinho de Albuquerque, initially located in the Municipal Square.
