Equipment and Infrastructures

A work of modern design by architect Francisco de Castro dating from 1952-1954. It displays characteristic box-verandas in reinforced concrete dominated by horizontal lines. This building introduced the post-war aesthetics of the international architecture on the square, until then dominated by modernist works with Art Deco design. It included Cafe Capri, one of the most popular of the 1960s in the city centre.
